Environmental Impact Assessment Questions

What work has been done on the project so far?

A Scoping opinion was received from the Planning Inspectorate in March 2019 which included issues and methodologies that will need to be considered within the Environmental Impact Assessment.

Baseline surveys are now underway to inform the assessment of impacts.

What surveys will be required during the consenting phase and why?

There will be surveys of the local area for any notable features to take into consideration during the project design, such as archaeology, ecology, habitats, water courses and contaminated land. These surveys will form part of the EIA and resultant Environmental Statement that is submitted as part of the application.

Who will carry out your Environmental Impact Assessment?

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process is being carried out by Royal HaskoningDHV, a company with extensive experience of carrying out EIAs, the consenting process and regulatory compliance requirements in the UK.
